French Open 2021: Serena Williams through to last 16

French Open 2021: Serena Williams through to last 16The French Open 2021 started on 30 May. After the controversial withdrawal of Noami Osaka, the grand slam tournament is progressing as before.

In women's singles, Serena Williams is through to the fourth round (last 16). Serena is the highest-ranked women's player left in the tournament. Current no 1 Ashleigh Barty also withdrew from the tournament earlier. So, this could be Serena's tournament to win.

Serena has won 23 grand slams till now. The all-time win record is 24 wins, held by Margaret Court.

Other players through to the last 16 include Victoria Azarenka. Defending champion Iga Swiatek is also through the second round.

In men's singles, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic will be playing today to reach the last 16. Alexander Zverev and Kei Nishikori are through to the last 16.

19-year-old Italian player Jannik Sinner is the youngest player in the men's singles this time at the French Open this year. He got through the second round and will face Mikael Ymer today.
