Ganesh Chaturthi – The festival of Lord GaneshaGanesh Chaturthi is a Hindu festival celebrating the birth of Lord Ganesha. It falls in the months of August or September every year.

People celebrate this festival throughout India and as well as in Nepal and other countries that have Hindu communities.
 	On this festival, devotees install Ganesh clay idols at home or in public with prayers and fasting. After 10 days, the idol is carried in a public procession and immersed in a nearby sea or river.

In order to not pollute the environment, you can get organic and eco-friendly Ganesha idols these days. The immersion of this idol will not pollute the river or sea.

This year, the Ganesh Utsava Committee in Khairtabad, Hyderabad has built a 61- feet high Lord Ganesha idol.

150 workers built the idol in four months at an approximate cost of ₹1 crore.
 	This Ganesh idol has 12 faces of different Gods, 24 hands which are holding different weapons and seven horses for the chariot.
 	The weight of the idol is approximately 50 tonnes.
 	It will be open for worship from today after all the rituals are done.
