What is Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY)?
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology is a government organisation. Its goal is to to facilitate e-Governance and help the IT industries grow in a way that benefits everyone.
They intend to work together to help one hundred Indian startups in different cities grow their app businesses.
Appscale Academy will help people to turn their ideas into successful app businesses. Google and MeitY Startup Hub started the growth and development programme in 2021. Its goal was to help entrepreneurs in their early to mid-stage businesses make high-quality mobile apps.

- According to business experts, apps across a variety of industries witnessed improvements in different areas of the user experience.
- Some of the areas are user interface (UI), user experience (UX), security, and user base, among others.
- The partners in this project think that the market for apps will grow by a huge amount across all industry platforms.
- Google will begin accepting applications on February 6, 2023.
- The programme will last for a period of six months, during which time startups will receive training on various aspects of developing successful applications.
- These aspects include user experience design, business models, and monetization strategies.

- MeitY Startup Hub and Google intend to organise multi-city roadshows as part of the programme.
- The goal of the roadshows is to get more people to join in places like Coimbatore, Gangtok, Jaipur, Indore, and Surat, which are becoming more important.

- At the same time, business owners will learn how to improve different parts of app design and development.
- The startups that are chosen will receive access to self-learning material.
- The organisers also intend to host webinars led by virtual instructors and mentorship sessions.
- They would also receive an opportunity to pitch their ideas to venture capitalists.
- A group of industry experts, along with people from the MeitY Startup Hub and Google, will help decide who gets chosen.
