Google’s New Mobile App For Blind: Lookout

Google’s New Mobile App For Blind: LookoutGoogle has launched a new mobile application called Lookout which will help visually impaired (blind) people. The app helps the blind with information about their surroundings.

This app works with the help of Artificial Intelligence (a technology where computer programs can “understand” things themselves without human help). It also uses a mobile phone’s camera to identify nearby objects.
 	Lookout is currently available only on Google pixel phone.
 	For the time being, Lookout is only launched in the U.S (America) and is only in English.
 	To use this app, the camera needs a good view. So a person will need to wear the phone around their neck or place it in a shirt pocket.
 	The app recognizes and informs about objects and people that are around and also reads text (words and sentences).
 	This app will be useful while shopping, reading books and news papers. It also helps in daily tasks like cooking, cleaning etc.
 	The company is working to extend the app to more countries and more languages.
