Haryana’s Pradeep Singh tops Civil Services Exams 2019On Tuesday, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) declared the results of the Civil Services Exams (CSE) 2019.

In India, the Civil Service Exams are held every year. Through this exam, the UPSC selects candidates to work in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Other Central Services.

Civil Service Exams is one of the most prestigious exams in India. It selects the brightest and best candidates from across India for senior Government positions.

This year's topper is 29-year-old Pradeep Singh from Sonipat, Haryana. He had passed the exams last year and is currently under training to be an Indian Revenue Service. Even though he had passed the exam last year, he wanted to do better this year and achieve a higher rank.

Jatin Kishore is ranked no 2. Pratibha Verma from Uttar Pradesh is the topper among women candidates. Her rank is no 3.

Aishwarya Sheoran, a former Miss India finalist, has also passed the exams this year. Her rank is 93. She always wanted to clear civil services exams.

A total of 829 candidates have been selected this year. The final result is available on the official website of UPSC.

The UPSC has declared the final list of selected candidates based on the result of the written part of Civil Services Examination, 2019 held in September 2019 and the interviews or Personality Test held in February-August, 2020.

The Civil Services Exam 2020 was scheduled to be held on 31 May but had been rescheduled to 4 October due to the COVID-19 crisis.
