ICC launches 12-month campaign to promote women’s cricketWe have read about and enjoyed the recent ICC T20 Women's World Cup which Australian won.

To take maximum advantage of the excitement surrounding the tournament, the ICC (International Cricket Council) has also launched a campaign to promote women's cricket.

This is a 12-month campaign is called '100% Cricket'.
 	It was launched at the MCG in Melbourne, on International Women's Day, ahead of the T20 Women's World Cup final.
 	ICC Chief Executive, Manu Sawhney said that the campaign aims at building a strong foundation for women's cricket. This is so that fans can enjoy it while attracting more sponsors and broadcasters as well.
 	The campaign aims to keep up the excitement around women's cricket as the ODI Women's World Cup is also scheduled to be held next year in New Zealand.

What does the campaign aim to achieve?

The ICC aims to bring one million new women and girls to cricket through various initiatives, such as a new school, increased community participation and support for development programmes for women and girls.
 	The campaign will also focus on cricket players and showcase their talents and passion.
