India to promote rural tourism at G-20!
Recommended for Preparatory Grades
Greetings, adventurous mind! Let us tell you about this super cool meeting called the G-20 tourism meeting. It’s where people from different countries get together to talk about tourism. India, a country with lots of amazing places, will be showing off its success in rural and archaeological tourism. Sounds interesting, right?
India’s Magnificent Showcase: Rural & Archaeological Delights at G-20
- The meeting will happen from 7 February to 9 February. That’s just a few days, but they’ll pack in a lot of fun stuff. They want to focus on rural and archaeological tourism. You know, the kind of tourism that takes you to villages and old historical sites.
- From what we can gather, the folks in charge want to show everyone how awesome India is when it comes to rural and archaeological tourism. They’ve picked some special places to highlight, like Ladpura Khas village in Madhya Pradesh. That place is so amazing that the United Nations World Tourism Organization even thinks it’s the best rural tourism village!
- So, what’s the big deal about Ladpura Khas? Well, it’s in the state of Madhya Pradesh, and they’ve done some really cool things there. They made homestays, which means people can stay with families in the village and experience what their daily life is like. It’s like having a sleepover adventure!
- But wait, there’s more! India will also talk about the successes in Kevadiya, Gujarat. They’ve done some fantastic stuff there, like building OYO Hotels and tribal homestays. Imagine staying in a cozy hotel or a homestay run by local tribal people. It must be a unique and exciting experience!
- Oh, and don’t forget about Jammu and Kashmir. Some sensitive areas like Poonch will be discussed too. They’ve developed special accommodations there as well. I wonder what kind of fun surprises they have in store for travellers!
- Now, here’s something super interesting. India will also present a new and fancy thing called community-based astrotourism. It’s all about stargazing and getting to know the local culture in the Himalayas. Imagine looking at the stars and learning cool things about the people who live there. How awesome is that?
- And last but not least, there’s a village called Khonoma in Nagaland. They have something called the Ecotourism Management Board. This fancy-sounding board takes care of rural tourism products and makes sure people travel responsibly. They want tourists to have fun while taking care of the environment. Isn’t that amazing?
- So, my friend, India has a lot of cool things to show off at this G-20 meeting. From Ladpura Khas to Kevadiya, from Poonch to Khonoma Village, and even the beautiful Rann of Kutch. It’s going to be a whirlwind of fun and knowledge about rural and archaeological tourism. I wish I could go and see it all myself!
- Remember, exploring new places and cultures is like going on an exciting adventure. So, keep being curious and have lots of fun on your own adventures too!
