Indian airports get carbon-certified!

Indian airports get carbon-certified!Eight Indian airports are now carbon-certified.  Airports Council International (ACI) gives the certification.

Key facts!

The carbon certification looks at what airports are doing to keep their carbon emissions under control.
In addition to lowering them.
Reduction, optimization, and transition are some of the categories that are looked at.
Also, the certification is given in six levels, and Level 4+ is the highest.
Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport gets Level 3+.
Delhi and Mumbai international airports get a Level 4+.
Experts state it's encouraging to see Indian airports setting new standards.
Furthermore, this shows that India is willing to invest in a sustainable future.
In the next two decades, aviation experts predict India to boost global air traffic by over 5%.
So, India will most likely be the world's third-largest market for civil aviation until 2040.
Therefore, getting carbon certified is an important step toward reducing carbon emissions.
