Indian corporates and non-profits help fight against COVID-19The number of COVID-19 cases in India is currently around 1350.

There has been a spurt in cases especially in Delhi and Madhya Pradesh. Delhi has seen a sharp increase after 1000s of people attended a religious gathering in Nizamuddin Markaz, Delhi.
 	Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Telangana are trying to identify the people who attended the Nizamuddin gathering and then have returned home.
 	The government has identified 10 “hotspots” across the country where a high number of cases have been confirmed. These places are Dilshad Garden and Nizamuddin in Delhi, Noida Meerut, Bhilwara, Ahmedabad, Kasargod, Pathanamthitta, Mumbai and Pune.
 	According to health officials, "cluster" indicates a place where more than 10 cases have been detected.“Hotspot” means a place which has many "clusters".

How are companies and other organisations working to fight the COVID-19 pandemic?

Apollo Hospitals is working with companies like OYO to create isolation rooms in different cities.
 	Bharti Airtel is extending the validity of prepaid numbers up to 17 April. This will be helpful especially for migrant workers and daily wage earners, who have been hit hard by the lockdown.
 	Many companies like Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T), Bharti Enterprises, Tata Group and more have donated around ₹100 crores plus to support the COVID-19 fight.
 	Many institutes have extended their application dates for various exams till the end of April. This includes Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and exams conducted by the National Testing Agency.
