Indian Railways launches nine Sewa Service trainsThe Indian Railways has started nine Sewa Service trains to connect small towns with their closest major cities. This will ease the daily travel of passengers.

The Union Railways Minister Piyush Goyal flagged off the trains. Other union ministers including Harsh Vardhan, Dharmendra Pradhan and Suresh Angadi were also present at the occasion.

Of the nine, five trains will run between the following cities as daily passenger trains.

Delhi and Shamli, Uttar Pradesh
 	Bhubaneswar and Nayagarh in Odisha
 	Murkongselek and Dibrugarh in Assam
 	Kota and Jhalawar in Rajasthan
 	Coimbatore and Palani in Tamil Nadu

Remaining four Seva trains between Vadnagar and Mahesana in Gujarat, Asarva and Himmatnagar in Gujarat, Karur and Salem in Tamil Nadu and Yesvantpur and Tumkur in Karnataka will operate six days a week.
 	These trains will provide better rail connectivity between smaller, satellite towns and important cities.
 	The Railways launched these new trains using existing funds.

Mr Goyal also talked about the modernisation of railways and better facilities for passengers. He added that more than 5 thousand WI-FI-enabled stations are benefiting the poor living in villages.
