Instagram’s trial run for hiding ‘likes’ launches worldwideRecently, we have read about Instagram hiding the number of post likes in Australia on a trial basis.

Now, Instagram is testing hiding 'likes' worldwide for select users.

They have taken this decision because of the positive feedback recorded during trial runs.
 	Apart from Australia, the testing was also done in Brazil, Canada and for a few US users too.
 	The users who are part of the worldwide test will no longer see the total number of likes and views on photos and videos in the feed and on profile pages.
 	However, they will still be able to see the likes on their own posts.

The 'number of likes' will not be shown below the post.
 	Now, it will say ' and others' under the post.

Instagram has taken this step to decrease pressure on users, and focus on the content itself, not the number of 'likes'.

Users feel that these changes can affect the people who are doing business on this platform. However, Instagram is yet to make a decision on making this feature permanent.
