It is more than 2800 km long and extends from Queensland’s East coast to Cape York and Bundaberg in the South.
 	This barrier reef is full of beautiful coral reefs, about 600 gorgeous islands, and a wide variety of fish species.
 	You can swim, snorkel, dive and sail in this living masterpiece.
 	Fly over the pure blue waters, and see the composition of coral that has naturally shaped itself into a heart.

Or go scuba diving in one of the plentiful dive spots. But you should keep your skill level in mind!

You can also go sailing, in a wind-powered boat in the ocean.

Or you can take in an aerial view of the Great Barrier Reef.

Then there are sparkling white sand beaches and the ribbon reefs to explore.

The best time to visit the Great Barrier Reef is during the months of June till October when the temperature is pleasant and rainfall isn’t in the air. The clear weather makes for better diving conditions.

The Great Barrier Reef is a gift of nature to mankind. It's a reminder that we share this planet with other enchanting animal species. However, pollution and global warming are affecting it badly. So, we must protect and save it.
