Who is Matthew Whitaker?

Matthew Whitaker is an American jazz pianist who cannot see. He has been blind since birth.
 	However, he has an amazing talent for the piano. He could play two-handed piano compositions and write his own songs without ever having a teacher from a very early age.
 	In fact, he started going to a music school (for the blind) when he was just 5 years old. He was the youngest person to ever attend school.
 	Since then, he has been able to easily play difficult pieces of music all by himself.
 	He now performs jazz piano recitals and has appeared in more than 200 clubs and concert halls all over the world.

How is he helping scientists learn more about the human brain?

A neurologist, with the permission of Matthew's family, conducted a series of tests on Matthew.
 	A neurologist treats disorders that affect the brain, spinal cord, and nerves.
 	The doctor was amazed after observing the brain levels of Matthew.
 	He found that his entire brain gets activated after listening to music.
 	After going through the tests, Mathew shared his experience and expressed his love for music.
