Justin Trudeau’s Liberal Party wins narrow victory

Justin Trudeau’s Liberal Party wins narrow victoryCanadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's Liberal Party has won the general elections in Canada and will be back to form the government for a second term.

However, this is a narrow victory as the Liberal party have won or are leading in 156 out of 338 seats. That is lesser than the 170 seats they need to form a majority government.
 	So the incoming government will need the support of another party, the New Democratic Party (NDP).
 	The New Democratic Party (NDP) is led by Jagmeet Singh, who has advocated for issues like climate change.
 	The elections were held on Monday, 21 October.
 	Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will serve as PM for a second term.
 	Mr Trudeau and Conservative leader Andrew Scheer were the two top contenders in the general election. Health care, climate crisis and the cost of living were voters' top issues.

Mr Trudeau was first sworn in as PM in November 2015. He is the son of former Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau.
