Leading by example – C. RajagopalachariChakravarti Rajagopalachari (C. Rajagopalachari) was an eminent Indian politician, freedom fighter, statesman and lawyer.

He was the last Governor-General of India and the first Indian to occupy the position.
 	He held many different and important posts throughout his life. Some of them include Governor of West Bengal, Union Minister for Home Affairs, Chief Minister of Madras Presidency and more.

Rajagopalachari (10 December 1878 – 25 December 1972) was born in Salem, Tamil Nadu.
 	He graduated in Law from Presidency College, Madras.
 	He played a prominent role in India’s independence movement and other social movements like temple entry movements.
 	Rajagopalachari founded the Swatantra Party in 1959, which emphasised on the concept of individual liberty.
 	He was also a strong advocate of world peace and disarmament and was also one of the first recipients of India's highest civilian award, the Bharat Ratna.

Apart from being a leader, C. Rajagopalachari was also an accomplished author, translator and pioneer of social reform.
