Lego’s new brick set Colosseum is the largest in history

Recommended for Preparatory Grades

Do you enjoy building Lego blocks? Well, Lego’s new brick set launched recently is the largest ever. Let’s learn a little more about it.

Have you ever heard of the Colosseum in Rome, Italy?

It is a giant amphitheatre (open theatre) built of stone. It is almost 2000 years old and is the largest ancient amphitheatre ever built. It could hold tens of thousands of spectators who came to see fights and other performances.

The Colosseum is a very famous place which gets millions of tourists every year.

Toymaker Lego has launched Lego’s new brick set of this famous amphitheatre. It is the largest Lego brick set in history.

Before this, the largest lego brick set was the Millennium Falcon from Star Wars.

The Colosseum was released last week and consists of 9,036 pieces. When the expertly-designed set is completed, it stands at 10.5 inches high, 20.5 inches wide and 23.5 inches deep.

It is sold for US$549.99, which is actually much cheaper than the Falcon Lego set.

According to Lego, the set is recommended for ages 18 and above. Of course, that is not compulsory.
