Meet the new moon explorers!

NASA has recently announced the names of four people who will be the next to travel to the moon. They are part of the Artemis program. It aims to send astronauts back to the moon by 2024.

This is a big step for space exploration and will help us learn more about the moon and our universe.

Important Details

  • The four people selected are all from the United States and have different backgrounds.
  • Kayla Barron is a Navy officer and will be making her first flight to space.
  • Jessica Watkins is a geologist who will be the first African American woman to travel to the moon.
  • Raja Chari is a former Air Force pilot who has already been to space once before.
  • Finally, Matthew Dominick is also a former Navy officer who has experience in testing spacecraft.
  • These four people will be joining the other astronauts who have already been selected for the Artemis program.
  • They will be working together to help us learn more about the moon and how we can use its resources to help us in the future.
  • NASA hopes that by 2024, they will be able to establish a sustainable presence on the moon.
  • This seems to be an exciting step for space exploration and shows that we are continuing to make progress in understanding our universe
