A panel of US scientists have suggested that NASA should send a mission to the icy planet, Uranus to study the planet.
Mission to Uranus
Some planetary scientists have suggested to the space agencies to send missions to Uranus and Neptune as well. These two ice giant planets are made of large amounts of ice materials that swirl a small rocky core. Uranus was first visited by Voyager 2 in 1986 while it visited Neptune in 1989.

The mission to Uranus will reveal how the planet and its rings formed and how the planet evolved over billions of years.

Sending a mission to Uranus could help scientists to find the answers to many mysteries, planets which orbit around other stars as well.
The launch date of the Mission
The mission could be launched on a  commercial Falcon Heavy rocket. This mission could be launched around 2031, the first date by which the spacecraft could be designed and built. On the other hand, a mission to Neptune will require a bigger rocket as it is very from the Earth.
The focus of the mission
The planetary scientists say that the mission will explore the mysteries of the Uranus such as the winds that flow on the icy planet. The spacecraft will spend years flying around the planet and will gather observations on features.

Moreover, the mission will explore 27 moons of Uranus, mainly Titania and Oberon. These two moons have water beneath their icy surfaces. Isn't that interesting?
