MP farmer practices sustainable and chemical-free,multi-layer farming

Recommended for India

Once upon a time in a land called Bundelkhand, there was a farmer named Akash Chaurasia. He was a super smart  farmer from Madhya Pradesh, and guess what? He became a millionaire!

But it wasn’t because he found a treasure or won a lottery. No, no! Akash became a millionaire by using a super cool and eco-friendly farming technique called multi-layer farming on his 5-acre farm.

Eco-Friendly Enchantment: The Millionaire Farmer

  • Akash was like a gardening genius! Instead of growing just one type of plant on his farm, he planted four different kinds of plants. How did he do that? Well, he was like a plant magician! He planted ginger roots underground, and on top of them, he grew green leafy plants like amaranthus and spinach. It was like having a secret vegetable party underground and another one above the ground!
  • But that’s not all! Akash didn’t stop there. He used bamboo and wild grass to create a fantastic canopy over the green leafy plants. It was like a giant umbrella for his plants to protect them from the blazing sun in the summer and the chilly winds in the winter. How thoughtful, right?
  • Oh, wait! There’s more! The bamboo posts didn’t just hold up the canopy; they also became support for some sneaky creeper plants like kundru and parval. These sneaky plants loved climbing up the bamboo poles, and they were like little plant acrobats!
  • And guess what was the cherry on top? Papaya trees! Akash planted tall and majestic papaya trees next to the canopy. They were like big brothers and sisters, providing even more shade to the plants and the canopy. So, it was like a big plant family working together and having a great time!
  • With so many different types of plants and clever arrangements, Akash’s farm became a magical wonderland of vegetables and fruits. It was like a veggie treasure trove that gave him and his family a steady income. People from all around loved his yummy and chemical-free produce!
  • You know, Akash believes in an old saying from Bundelkhand, “Jaisa khaaoge ann, waisa hoga mann, jaisa hoga mann, waisa hoga tann.” It means that the kind of food you eat affects your mind and your body. So, he makes sure to grow the healthiest and tastiest food with lots of love!
  • And that’s the amazing story of Akash Chaurasia, the eco-friendly farmer who turned his 5-acre farm into a magical veggie wonderland!
