New AI technology creates ‘Artificial Human Beings’!

New AI technology creates ‘Artificial Human Beings’!Can you imagine an artificial human being behaving in the same way as a real one? A technology called NEON created by Samsung Technology and Advanced Research Labs or STAR Labs is here to do just that. It allows digital or virtual human beings to behave and communicate like real people.

The technology was showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2020 in Las Vegas.
 	It creates customized virtual humans that can feature in video games or displays.
 	These digital beings are designed to behave like a ‘companion and friend.’ They can also create new movements, expression or communications that are different from the original data.
 	NEON generates these life-like humans from recorded videos of the real people.
 	The artificial humans are not assistants. They are not like Alexa or Google Assistant who answer queries or give suggestions. But they act as real people who we can talk to. They also will be continuously evolving, learning and adding memories from their interactions.
 	The company has stressed that the technology is not to replace human beings. But artificial humans can be used for various jobs, such as actors, anchors, teachers and more.

The full extent of the technology and its usage is still not clear. However, NEON definitely is a new kind of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology that seems like a sci-fi movie becoming true.

Artificial Intelligence or AI is the ability of a computer or machine to learn and think.
