As we already know, goliath frogs are the world's largest frog species. Now, it turns out that they are so strong that they can move heavy rocks more than half their weight!

Researchers from Cameroon and Germany have recently learned about this from a study of the goliath frogs' habitat.

The researchers believe that the frogs' heavy lifting is the reason for their large sizes.
 	The frogs sometimes move rocks weighing up to 2 kg.
 	They found that these frogs use the rocks to create a new little pond or 'nest' in an already existing pond about 3 feet wide and 4 inches deep, along the riverbanks.
 	They do this to nurture their young in ponds away from predators and fast-flowing waters.

The research team aims to capture the movement of the goliath frogs on videos in the future. However, locals who live in the area have already seen them do this.
