The quote above was said by Carl Sagan, a famous American astrophysicist and writer. If everyone in this world understands that we are nothing, but made up of stardust, there wouldn’t be any issues in this world, agree?

  • A scientist who does research in the field of astronomy is called an astronomer.
  • Astronomers focus on a specific object or event that happens outside of Earth to do this.
  • They make observations and collect data using radio and optical telescopes on Earth as well as telescopes in space.
  • Astronomers can study many different things, such as planets, the sun, how stars change over time, how galaxies form, and so on.
  • To become an astronomer, you need to be good at solving problems, doing research, analysing data, doing math, and doing science.
  • Some of the most well-known astronomers are Aryabhata, Galileo, Copernicus, Tycho Brahe, Edmond Halley, Annie Cannon, and Maria Mitchel.
