‘Rainbow Grandpa’ saves village by painting buildings with colourful artRainbow Grandpa is a 97-year-old ex-soldier who saved his village in Taiwan from demolition*.

The village is called Rainbow Village. The village is named so because is filled with colourful art.

Rainbow Village was originally a poor village which was set to be demolished.
 	10 years ago, Grandpa Rainbow, whose real name is Huang Yung-Fu, began painting art on his house. Now his paintings have filled the village.
 	 He started to paint because he was lonely and wanted to save his village.

Due to his efforts, the government decided not to demolish the village and now it is a famous tourist spot.

Rainbow Grandpa still continues to paint every day. Isn't it inspiring?

*Demolition: To completely destroy a building to build something else.
