South Korean film ‘Parasite’ creates history at SAG Awards 2020

South Korean film ‘Parasite’ creates history at SAG Awards 2020The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards were presented in Los Angeles, US on Sunday.

South Korean film Parasite created history, becoming the first film in a foreign language to win the top prize of best cast ensemble in the 26-year-history of the SAG Awards.

It beat movies by renowned directors like Martin Scorsese's The Irishman and Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, to win the award.

Other films or TV series which won awards include The Crown, The Marvelous Mrs Maisel and Game of Thrones.
 	Apart from this historic win, the actors and actresses who won awards for their performances in films and/or TV series include Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Renee Zellweger, Joaquin Phoenix, Jennifer Aniston, Brad Pitt, and more.
 	Actor Robert De Niro received a Life Achievement Award for his work on screen and humanitarian accomplishments.
 	Avengers: Endgame also won Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture.
