‘Space’ is going to be exciting in 2019

‘Space’ is going to be exciting in 2019The new year 2019 promises to be an exciting year for all Astronomers. There will be Eclipses, meteor showers and an exciting Space launch.

Total Solar Eclipse takes place when Moon comes between Earth and the Sun. This will happen on July 3, 2019 & December 26, 2019. India will be able to view Annular Solar Eclipse on December 26, 2019 
 	Lunar Eclipse is an event in which Earth comes between the Sun and the Moon. This will happen on January 6, January 21 and July 17 in the year 2019. Only the July 17 event can be viewed from India.
 	Meteor Showers are caused by dusty debris left behind by meteors. These happen round the year and are of course visible in the night sky. The brightest meteor shower will be Eta Aquarids, which can be viewed on May 5, 2019 from India
 	Mercury Transit: On November 11, 2019, Mercury will make a rare pass in front of the sun which can be seen from Earth. Unfortunately, we will not be able to view from India.
 	Chandrayaan 2 is scheduled to be launched on January 30, 2019. This is the second launch by the Indian Space Agency, which aims to circle the moon and land a vehicle on the moon.
