Scientists will try to recover DNA from tortoise bones in museums and match them with the new species. Further studies of the species will decide the name of the species.

The Galapagos Islands is a UNESCO World Heritage site because of the huge amount of wildlife and biological diversity. Many unique species of animals are found on these islands.
