The 2020 UEFA European Football Championship or Euro 2020 begins today. This is a men's football tournament. It is held once every four years among the countries of Europe.

Euro 2020 was supposed to have been held in 2020 but was postponed due to the pandemic. So, even though it's being held in 2021, its name will remain Euro 2020.

This year, the tournament will have 24 participants. They are divided into 6 groups with four teams each. So, the top 2 teams of each group will enter the next round.

Euro 2020 will be held in 11 cities across Europe from 11 June to 11 July 2021. Portugal was the last winner of the tournament in 2016.

The first match is between Italy and Turkey. It begins tonight at 12:30 AM (12 June) in India.

Other sports: French Open 2021

In women's singles, Czech player Barbora Krejčíková will play against Russian player Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the final. They will play on 12 June. Before this, neither player had ever reached a Grand Slam semifinal before. So, this final has come as a big surprise to many onlookers.

In men's singles, an epic clash is set between Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal in the semi-final. The other semi-final is between Alexander Zverev and Stefanos Tsitsipas. So, the winners of the two matches today will go to the final.
