Target introduces Halloween costumes for children with disabilities

Halloween day is one of the most exciting festivals of the year in many countries, like the United States. On this day, adults and children dress up in different costumes like a superhero or princess.

However, for children with disabilities*, this can be difficult. They may have physical or other problems which make it difficult for them to wear regular clothes like other children.

To help them also enjoy this holiday, the US company Target has introduced four new Halloween costumes specially made for such children.

One of the designs, made especially for children on wheelchairs, allows the child to transform their wheelchair into a pirate ship, complete with a pirate flag and with waves for wheels.
 	Another option is a purple-coloured princess carriage.
 	There are also, a unicorn and a shark costume, for children with autism and related disabilities.

Parents of children with disabilities often end up making costumes for their children by themselves. This can be difficult.  So, Target hopes to make things easier so that everyone can have a happy Halloween!

About Halloween

Halloween is celebrated on 31st October every year.
 	On this day, children wear costumes and go trick-or-treating. In trick-or-treat, children go around the neighbourhood and ask for candy (treat).
 	There are Halloween parties, bonfires, decorations of jack-o-lantern (carved-pumpkins), etc.

*Disabilities (or disability) - an illness, injury, or condition that makes it difficult for someone to do the things that other people do
