Hey curios reader, have you ever thought about how many colleges you would like to get into? Maybe one, two or three? Well, Dennis Maliq Barnes from Louisiana, United States applied to over 170 colleges!
Yes, you heard that right, he applied to over 170 colleges. And guess what? He got accepted to all of them! That’s right, every single one of them!
Important Details
- Dennis is a high school senior who started applying to colleges back in August 2022. He didn’t have a specific number of colleges in mind when he started applying, but he just kept applying and applying. And before he knew it, he had applied to 173 colleges in total. Can you even imagine applying to that many colleges? I can’t even imagine writing that many essays!
- But that’s not all. Dennis didn’t just apply to any colleges. He applied to some of the best colleges in the United States, such as Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and many more. He even received scholarships and grants from some of these colleges, which means that he won’t have to worry about the cost of attending college.
- Dennis has set a goal to break the Guinness World Record for the most college acceptances by a single person. Currently, the record is held by a guy named Jordan Nixon, who was accepted to 39 colleges in 2019. But Dennis has blown that record out of the water! He is still waiting for confirmation from the Guinness World Records, but we’re pretty sure he’s going to get it.
- So why did Dennis apply to so many colleges? Well, he wanted to give himself the best chance of getting into a college that he really wants to attend. And he also wanted to see how many colleges he could get accepted to. And boy, did he succeed!
- Dennis is a great example of how hard work and determination can pay off. He didn’t let the fear of rejection hold him back. He just kept pushing forward and applying to as many colleges as he could. And now, he has a plethora of options to choose from when it comes to his college education.
- So, if you ever think that something is impossible or too difficult, just think about Dennis and how he applied to over 170 colleges. If he can do that, then you can do anything you set your mind to!
