Thailand aspires to fight reproductive diseases and single parenthood. The medical authorities have launched a campaign to get more people to know about family planning services.
Before Valentine’s Day, experts want to spread the word about safe ways to have children and cut down on the number of teens who become parents.
The programme will commence in February 2023.

The Universal Coverage scheme is the most comprehensive way for Thai people to get medical care.

- Male birth control measures will be freely available at hospitals throughout the country.
- As part of this plan, people who are eligible for the Universal Healthcare Card will be able to get health benefits.
- The goal of the campaign is to cut down on single-parent families and the spread of reproductive illnesses.
- People who wish to get free male birth control measures will have to register on a smartphone application.
- They will be required to select a designated pharmacy, community clinic, or state-run health agency.
- From the selected health department they can obtain birth control measures as part of the campaign.
- If a person does not own a smartphone, they could avail of benefits using their ID card.
- Local health officials believe that this initiative will also assist in the promotion of public health.
- According to health expert estimates, Thailand has experienced a rise in the number of instances of reproductive diseases in recent years.
- Those between the ages of 15 and 19, as well as those between the ages of 20 and 24, are among the most severely affected.
