The Air Around Us

We know that air is all around us. We can feel it even though we can't see it.

What is Air?

Air is a mixture of different gases

We need Oxygen from air to breathe. We exhale (breathe out carbon dioxide)
 	Carbon dioxide (CO2) in the air is both useful and harmful.
 	Plants use this gas when there is sunlight to make food—this process gives out oxygen, which we need!
 	But too much CO2 from cars and factories causes global warming - which is bad for Earth.

Air holds water

Have you heard the word “humidity” ?
 	High "humidity" means there is high water content in air.
 	It makes our body feel sticky.
 	It makes us feel more hot and tired.

Air has life

Did you know that living organisms can also be found in air?
 	These tiny organisms can travel long distances through the air because of wind, rain, or even a sneeze!

Air pollution is a cause of concern all around the world, and especially in India.
