The world’s safest airlines for 2019AirlineRatings.com has announced its list of 20 of the world's safest airlines for the year 2019.

Australian carrier Qantas is once again at the top of the list.
 	The other 19 airlines selected, in alphabetical order are:

Air New Zealand, Alaska Airlines, All Nippon Airways, American Airlines, Austrian Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways, Emirates, EVA Air, Finnair, Hawaiian Airlines, KLM, Lufthansa, Qantas, Qatar Airways, Scandinavian Airline System, Singapore Airlines, Swiss, and United Airlines and Virgin group of airlines (Atlantic and Australia).

AirlineRatings also pinpointed the top 10 low-cost (budget) airlines with the best safety records. They are:

Flybe, Frontier, HK Express, Jetblue, Jetstar Australia / Asia, Thomas Cook, Volaris, Vueling, Westjet and Wizz.

It used 12 separate criteria to rate the airlines, including

Audits from governments, aviation's governing bodies and lead associations.
 	It also considered the crash and serious incident records for each carrier.
 	Fleet age and Profitability.

All the top 20 safest airlines have exceptional operations and great service. It's definitely good to know that you are in safe hands while flying!
