Three Indian journalists among Pulitzer Prize winners of 2020The Pulitzer Prize for 2020 was announced today. Three Indian journalists are among the winners this year.

Associated Press (AP) photographers Dar Yasin, Mukhtar Khan and Channi Anand have won the 2020 Pulitzer Prize in feature photography.

They have been honoured for their bravery and dedication to capturing images of Kashmir after Article 370 was removed in August last year.

Associated Press is an American not-for-profit news agency headquartered in New York City. This is the AP’s 54th Pulitzer Prize.

The Pulitzer Prize is a prestigious award which honours excellence in newspaper, magazine and online journalism, literature, and musical composition in the United States. Prizes are awarded yearly in twenty-one categories.

Who are some of the other winners this year?

US author Colson Whitehead won the award for fiction, becoming only the fourth writer to win the same prize twice.
 	News sites such as The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Baltimore Times and more, won awards in different categories.
 	The photography staff of Reuters won the breaking news photography award for documenting last year's violent protests in Hong Kong.
 	Journalist and civil rights activist Ida B. Wells won a posthumous special award.
