Tokyo Paralympics: Manish Narwal, Pramod Bhagat win gold

Recommended for Preparatory Grades

Hey there, little champ! Guess what? The Tokyo Paralympics is almost over, and guess who’s making India proud? Our amazing Paralympians are shining like bright stars up in the sky!

Two of our heroes, Manish Narwal and Pramod Bhagat, brought home gold medals! Can you believe it? Manish Narwal, who is only 19 years old, won gold in the Mixed 50m Pistol SH1 event. That’s like being the best shooter in the whole wide world! And guess what? Pramod Bhagat won gold in badminton! It’s the first time ever that badminton is a part of the Paralympic Games. How cool is that?

Proud Paralympians: India Shines!

  • But wait, there’s more! Singhraj Adhana also won a shiny silver medal in the same sport and category as Manish Narwal. They both did us proud! And let’s not forget about Manoj Sarkar, who won a bronze medal in badminton too. They are all superstars!
  • Now, India’s medal count stands at 15, but guess what? We’re not done yet! Our athletes are still playing their hearts out in some final events, so we might get even more medals. This is the best-ever performance by India at the Paralympics. Can you imagine that? Our Paralympians are breaking records and making history!
  • But hey, let’s not forget about the medal tally. China is way ahead and leading the pack with the most medals. They’re like the superheroes of the Paralympics! Great Britain and the United States are right behind them, showing off their skills too. And where’s India on the list? We’re at the 35th position, but that doesn’t matter because our Paralympians have hearts of gold!
  • We are so proud of our Paralympians for their incredible achievements. They’ve shown us that no matter what challenges we face, we can overcome them and shine brightly. Let’s give them a big round of applause and cheer them on for their hard work and dedication. You are all winners in our hearts!
  • So, my little friend, keep dreaming big and never stop believing in yourself. Who knows, maybe one day, you’ll be representing India at the Paralympics too. Until then, let’s celebrate the victories of our amazing Paralympians and cheer for them as they continue to make us proud. Go, Team India!
