Elephant pumps water

India’s Ministry of Jal Shakti has shared a video that shows the importance of saving water.

The video shows an adult elephant working a hand pump to get its share of drinking water. It did it most probably because it was thirsty but could not find a natural source like a lake or pond nearby. That struggle showed it how important it is to save every drop of water. Moreover, the elephant also pumped only as much water as it needed, not more than that.

Through the video, the ministry is encouraging everyone to save water. Even the elephant knows the importance of water and did not waste any. So, even we humans should not waste it.

Water covers 70% of Earth but only a very small percentage of it can be used for drinking. So it is very precious and we must not waste it.
