This waterfall is located near Eifjord in Hardanger, western Norway. It is surrounded by beautiful mountains and a deep valley below, making the view even more fantastic.

The bridge is now open to brave tourists. They can walk the 99 steps of the bridge to the other side. It is suitable for children and older people, but it is not wheelchair friendly.

The bridge is part of many new constructions around the waterfall. Vøringsfossen waterfall is a very popular tourist spot in Norway. These new features aim to attract even more visitors.

The step bridge has been designed by architect Carl-Viggo Hølmebakk. It took 10 years for the construction to be complete.

Hølmebakk and his team wanted a design that would look natural in the environment and not damage it either. He says the design was inspired by Norwegian legends and folk tales.
