The Indian women’s cricket team was victorious once again, taking home their seventh Asia Cup title. They win the match against Sri Lanka by a margin of eight wickets with 11.3 overs still remaining.
For India, the defining characteristic has been Jemimah’s consistency. Deepti’s reliability both with the bat and the ball.
Shafali, who had a rough run leading up to the competition, has not only regained her footing with the bat but is also bowling some nasty leg breaks.

- Smriti Mandhana closes things up in grand fashion by reaching her 18th fifty in a Twenty20 International.
- India is successful in restricting Sri Lanka’s score to 65 for 9 in 20 overs.
- This is thanks to the efforts of Renuka Singh (3/5), Rajeshwari Gayakwad (2/16), and Sneh Rana (2/13).
- The highest score for Sri Lanka was recorded by Inoka Ranaweera, who scores 18 without being dismissed.
- Renuka Singh takes three wickets.
- Both Rajeshwari Gayakwad and Sneh Rana were responsible for two dismissals each.
- Only two of Sri Lanka’s batsmen, Oshadi Ranasinghe and Inoka Ranaweera, score in the double digits.
