World’s largest flower ‘‘Rafflesia’’ blooms in Indonesia!
Recommended for Preparatory Grades
Rafflesia, the largest flower in the world, is discovered in the wild by an Indonesian man. The mysterious parasitic plant lives underground. The glory of its bloom is only visible for a single day at a time.
And the following day, it begins to fall apart like a mushroom that has begun to rot. In the end, it emits a potent odour, which attracts insects.
While wandering through a forest in Indonesia, a man came across an extremely rare corpse flower growing in its natural habitat. Rafflesia, which only fully blooms for an approximately four-day window, is the largest in the world. Its scientific name is the rafflesia arnoldii.
