World’s largest greenhouse

What is a greenhouse?

A greenhouse is a building with a roof and sides made of glass. Greenhouses are used for growing plants that need warmth and protection.

A French architecture company named Coldefy has announced that it has designed the world’s largest single-domed greenhouse. This means the entire greenhouse will be under one roof.

The world’s largest greenhouse will be 20,000 square metres in size. That’s about the size of 75 tennis courts! They have named it “Tropicalia“. It will be built by 2024 in the Cote d’Opale, or Opal Coast in France.

What will the world’s largest greenhouse look like?

This greenhouse will be like a jungle paradise, filled with trees and flowers. It will have a waterfall as well as a big swimming pool filled with fish. It will also have a kilometre-long footpath, for people to walk through.

The world’s largest greenhouse is being built in an eco-friendly manner. It aims to educate people on the wonders of nature.
