Vande Bharat Express trains are set to make an international benchmark
India started the Vande Bharat Express on 15th February 2019.
Indian Railways’ Vande Bharat Express has given an International benchmark to the Modi Government’s Make in India initiative.
Important Details
- Every unit of Vande Bharat Express is estimated to be 40 per cent cheaper than European ones.
- The new Vande Bharat Express saves 30 per cent of electrical energy.
- Moreover, the major systems of Vande Bharat railways have been designed and built in India.
- The coaches of this train are furnished with GPS based audio-visual passenger information system, automatic doors, onboard hotspot WiFi for entertainment purposes and comfortable seats.
- The lighting on the train is diffused for general illumination and personal for every passenger seat.
- Every coach in the Vande Bharat Express has a pantry car for serving hot meals and also hot and cold beverages.
- Also, the heat and noise levels are at very low levels in the coaches.
- Vande Bharat Express has a seating capacity of 1,128 passengers.
- It has a total of 16 AC coaches and out of which two coaches are executive class coaches.
- Safety, speed and services are the hallmarks of Vande Bharat Express trains.
- These trains run at the potential speed of 180 Km/hr.
