Roman City Ruins Uncovered!

In Egypt, archaeologists have discovered the hidden ruins of what they believe to be a “complete” Roman-era city.
Archaeologists from Egypt stated that they had found what they described as a “complete residential metropolis from the Roman era.”
The ruins are located in the centre of the city of Luxor. Luxor is located in southern Egypt. Researchers claim that the city is the oldest and most important city. It also dates back to the second and third centuries.

The pigeon tower is a structure used to house pigeons or doves.

- In addition to two pigeon towers and a number of metal workshops
- A collection of vessels, tools, and bronze and copper Roman coins were also uncovered by the researchers inside the workshops.
- According to experts, it is an archaeological find that is extremely uncommon in Egypt.
- This is because the majority of excavations are of temples and tombs.
- Particularly on the west bank of Luxor, where the well-known Valley of the Queens and Valley of the Kings is located.
- The discovery is also an essential component of Egypt’s efforts to restore its tourism economy.
- Egypt has been at the centre of political turmoil for years and also the COVID-19 epidemic.
- The government aspires to attract 30 million tourists a year by 2028.
- They also intend to inaugurate the Grand Egyptian Museum at the foot of the pyramids in Giza.
