  • Vets are important in our society because they treat not only pets like cats and dogs but also treat other animals which are important to the economy and also, wildlife animals.
  • In India, the minimum qualification required to be a veterinarian is a Bachelor’s in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry.
  • You can study for this degree after finishing Class 12th in science with Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  • You also have the option to do a Master’s degree later and specialize in various like wildlife medicine, conservation, Exotic animal veterinary, surgeon, etc.
  • A vet has a very high responsibility because, unlike humans, animals cannot express where or why they are in pain.
  • So a vet must be observant and gentle with a high sense of empathy.
