In the United Arab Emirates, in the Sharjah Mountains, there is a concept resort with tents that seem to float in the air.

Ardh Architect, a design firm in Dubai, came up with the idea for the “Floating Retreat.” He was asked to look into a new way of being friendly. A plan that combined care for the environment and love of nature with modern comfort.

What is Glamping?

Glamping is a type of camping that uses more luxurious accommodations and amenities than traditional camping.

Camping experts say that the Floating Retreat is the most luxurious way to camp in the mountains. The walls of each of the ten deluxe hotel rooms were made with cutting-edge fabric technology.

The hotel rooms/tents are basically attached to a huge bridge that goes across a valley between two mountain peaks.

Key facts!

• At the base of the mountain, there is a place to check-in.
• Before the guests can take an elevator up to the bridge level, they have to check-in.
• When guests are already inside the tent or room, the space can be raised or lowered to meet their needs.
• The goal of the floating tent resort is to give people a place to enjoy the natural beauty of the area.
• Also, learn about the rich history and traditions of the area.
• There are many ways to set up the tents so that they don’t overlap or get too close to other tents.
• The tents’ side fabrics are made of a fabric that makes things look blurry.
• While the front of the tent is made of a clear material that lets you see everything around you.
• Individual tents or pods on the floating retreat are made to be luxurious and comfortable.
• This is especially for people who can’t go mountain climbing or do other outdoor activities that give them a rush.
