On October 28, Rishi Sunak will take the oath of office as Prime Minister of the UK. Sunak is the youngest person who has ever run the United Kingdom as Prime Minister.

Rishi will be the first prime minister of British Asian heritage. He is also the youngest person to hold the job in more than 200 years. He takes over for Liz Truss, who quit her job after only 45 days last week.

The Conservative Party has chosen Rishi Sunak to be its new leader. Penny Mordaunt, who was running against Mr Sunak, dropped out of the race just minutes before he was named the winner.

Mr Sunak is the fourth prime minister to be chosen without a general election in the last four years.
