Manasi Joshi, Pramod Bhagat win gold at Para-Badminton Championships

Manasi Joshi, Pramod Bhagat and the entire Indian Para-Badminton have also equally made us proud by winning a total of 12 medals at the BWF Para-Badminton World Championships 2019.

Key facts!

  • Ms Joshi won gold in the women’s singles category. It is her first World Championships title.
  • She won the final against World No. 1 and fellow Indian, Parul Parmar.
  • Ms Joshi has previously won silver in mixed doubles at the Para-Badminton World Championship 2015, as well as a bronze medal at the Asian Para Games 2018.
  • Pramod Bhagat also won two gold medals, in the men’s singles and doubles categories.
  • This is his third gold in the men’s singles category at the BWF Para-Badminton World Championships.
  • Other winners include Manoj Sarkar, Kumar Nitesh, Parul Parmar, Tarun, Nagar Krishna and more.
  • The BWF Para-World Championships was held from 20th to 25th August 2019 in Basel, Switzerland.
