Novak Djokovic is the second man in history to reach 300 grand slam wins

The 2021 Australian Open is currently being played in Melbourne, Australia.

Last year’s winner of the men’s singles’ trophy was Serbian player Novak Djokovic.

This time around, he has become just the second man in history to reach 300 grand slam match wins. He beat Canadian Milos Raonic in the fourth round of the tournament.

With this win, Novak Djokovic has reached the Australian Open quarterfinals. He will play against Germany’s Alex Zverev in the next round.

Swiss player Roger Federer was the first man to reach the 300 win mark at grand slams. He has 362 wins. Spanish Rafael Nadal is third on 285.

Grand slams

The grand slams are the four most important annual tennis events. They are – the Australian Open, US Open, French Open and Wimbledon.

In other matches, Rafael Nadal, Serena Williams, and Naomi Osaka have also gotten through the fourth round.
