World Liver Day is celebrated on April 19 to raise awareness about liver and liver-related problems. The liver is a complicated and largest organ in the body. It is also very important because everything you eat and drink goes through the liver.

In addition, it plays a big part in the process of getting rid of toxins and getting food into your body. So, it is important that you take good care of the organ and educate yourself on World Liver Day.

A few tips to keep your liver healthy!

  • It’s important to keep a healthy weight if you want to keep your liver healthy.
  • Extra weight could cause extra fat deposits in the liver.
  • And maintaining a healthy weight could help you avoid having a fatty liver.
  • One should not eat unhealthy fats, sugars, processed carbohydrates or food that hasn’t been cooked properly.
  • If you like dairy products, consume small portions.
  • Including dietary fibre through nuts, seeds, low-fat milk, fruits, vegetables, and so on is a good idea to maintain a healthy liver.
  • Consume an adequate amount of water to aid in the natural detoxification of your liver.
  • Toxins are also removed from one’s body by drinking water.
