Critical Thinking Skill
This is one of the most important 21st-Century-Skills. In fact, it is the biggest link between students’ learning and their success.
What are you Curious about?
What are you Concerned about?
And what do you want to Create?
These are some important questions our young citizens need to ask themselves. They will help them develop the ability to recognize what they care about the most. Moreover, it will build critical problem-solving abilities to help them become successful in their lives.
Innovative Young Citizens Challenge By Curious Times 2021 will be a digital event
It is easy to huddle among a group of students/ participants in a room, talk through a problem and seek answers. However, we know that the Curious Times Community is diverse and is spread across India, the Middle East and Southeast Asia too. We are all in remote locations and of course, many of us are studying in our homes.
So, digital connectivity has given us an opportunity to come together. With it, we can do and say what we could not otherwise. We can digitally connect and try to think critically about what happens around us and solve some of our world’s pressing problems. This way, students from across various cities, states and countries can participate.
The Innovative Young Citizens Challenge brings opportunities to children to participate and create their digital footprint too. All viewers and readers of Curious Times can view all approved entries digitally.
Participants’ Categories
We have aligned the challenge to the school grades.
(a) Level 1 – Starter (Grade 1 to 2)
(b) Level 2 – Primary (Grade 3 to 5)
(c) Level 3 – Middle (Grade 6 to 8)
(d) Level 4 – Senior (Grade 9 to 12)
Innovative Young Citizens Challenge By Curious Times 2021 – Topics
As we are organising the whole event digitally (online), we have two options for the participating schools and members.
OPTION I – Solve The Problem Statements Given By Curious Times
Curious Times problem statements
We will share the level-wise problem statements on 6 August 2021, 12 Noon IST. All participants must submit the responses by 9 August 2021, 12 Noon IST. This way, all students will get a weekend to prepare a great solution and submit it on Curious Times.
OPTION II – My Curiosity, My Concern, My Creation!
Students can submit their solutions for the problems, which they are really concerned about.
Some of you would have already worked on some problems, current or future. You have thought through something you want to create for the problems you care about. But what you need is a bigger platform and audience to share what you have created. So, here is your chance to share that. Make sure what you send is original with attention to the details of all aspects of the problem and the solution.
