A powerful earthquake struck Nepal. Delhi, Noida, and Gurugram felt significant tremors for many seconds. The earthquake took place at 1:57 in the morning.

According to the data provided by the National Centre for Seismology, the earthquake had a magnitude of 6.3. Also, the earthquake occurred 10 kilometres below the surface of the earth.

  • The epicentre of the earthquake was located in Dailekh, Nepal.
  • It is located approximately 90 kilometres southeast of Pithoragarh, which is located in Uttarakhand.
  • The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) stated that about 209 million people in India and Nepal felt the tremors.
  • The tremor spread over a distance of 500 kilometres.
  • A number of individuals flocked to various social media sites to share their reactions.
  • Disaster management teams said Delhi’s emergency operation centre hasn’t received emergency calls.
  • Nepal was struck by two earthquakes in the span of just one day.
  • The United States Geological Survey (USGS) said that Nepal was shaken by at least two earthquakes late on Tuesday evening, one measuring 4.9 magnitudes and the other measuring 3.5 magnitudes.
