The Face of Death Mask

  • The mask is the most well-known relic that was discovered in King’s tomb.
  • It measured 21 inches long and weighed nearly 10 kilogrammes.
  • The mask was manufactured primarily from gold inlaid with semiprecious stones and coloured glass paste.
  • The mask depicts Tutankhamun wearing a vulture and a cobra on his headdress.

Daggers

  • When Tutankhamun was finally laid to rest, both an iron and a gold-bladed dagger were found in his tomb.
  • Experts say that the dagger with the iron blade was found in Tutankhamun’s right thigh.
  • Meteorite iron was used to make the dagger.
  • This means that the iron came from somewhere other than Earth.
  • According to what the experts said, the researchers found the gold-bladed dagger above Tutankhamun’s stomach.

  • According to archaeologists, Tutankhamun’s tomb contained at least four different types of board games.
  • The boards and game pieces that were discovered in the tomb were fashioned of various materials, including ivory.
  • The boards appear to have been built for “senet” and “game of twenty.”
  • The rules for neither of these games are totally transparent.
  • It is assumed senet was played on a board with 30 squares.
  • The objective “was to safely guide all the pieces off the board while stopping the opponent from doing the same.”
